How to connect ConsoleMeNow to Claude

Published September 21, 2026 · 5 minute read

Once connected, you can ask Claude about your inventory in plain words: “Where did I put the drill?”, “Which warranties end this year?”, “Add a new espresso machine to the kitchen.” You decide what Claude is allowed to do, and you can disconnect it at any time.

What you need. An active ConsoleMeNow subscription and a Claude account that can add custom connectors. Custom connectors are not on every Claude plan, so if you do not see the option in Claude, check Claude’s help pages for your plan.

1. Connect it, step by step

  1. In Claude, open Settings and then Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector.
  3. Give it a name, such as ConsoleMeNow, and enter this address exactly: https://consolemenow.com/mcp
  4. Press Add, then Connect.
  5. A ConsoleMeNow page opens. Sign in with Google if you are asked to.
  6. Choose what Claude may do (next section), then press Allow.

You are sent back to Claude, and the connector is ready. Turn it on in a conversation from the connectors menu.

2. Choose what Claude may do

The Allow page always shows three permissions, whatever Claude asked for. You choose. Only the first is required.

  • See your items and photos. Always on. Claude can search and read your inventory, and look at a photo when you ask it to.
  • Add and change items, and add photos. On by default. Turn it off if you want Claude to be view-only.
  • Delete items and photos. Off by default. Turn it on only if you want Claude to be able to delete. Even then, Claude has to give the exact name of the item before anything is deleted, and deleting cannot be undone.

Changed your mind later? In Claude, remove the ConsoleMeNow connector and add it again, then choose differently on the Allow page. (Disconnecting in ConsoleMeNow under Account, Connected apps does the same on our side.)

3. Things to ask

  • “What is in the garage?”
  • “Which of my warranties end in the next 90 days?”
  • “Which valuable things have no serial number recorded?”
  • “Add a Sony camera to the office, cost 1,299, bought last week.”
  • “Move everything in the Shelf 2 bin to the shed.”
  • “Give me a summary of what I own and where the value is.”
  • “Show me the photos of the espresso machine.”

Claude tells you what it changed. It is worth a quick look, because an AI can misunderstand a request.

4. Adding photos

Ask “Add photos to the espresso machine.” Claude shows a small photo form right in the conversation. Choose your pictures there. They are shrunk on your device, stripped of camera and location details, and saved to that item. Each item holds up to three photos.

If the form does not appear in your version of Claude, ask for a photo link instead. Claude gives you a private link that works for 30 minutes, for that one item only. Open it on your phone or computer and add the photos there.

Seeing your photos. Ask “Show me the photos of the espresso machine.” The pictures appear right in the conversation. Select one to enlarge it, and use the arrow keys or the Previous and Next buttons to move between them. (If a picture only appears as a line of text or a code, ask again with “show me the photos”.)

You can also ask Claude to look at a photo itself, for example to read a serial number from a label. Claude should tell you what it read and check with you before saving it.

5. Your data and safety

  • Claude only sees what it asks for while helping you, such as item names, locations, notes, serial numbers and photos you ask it to look at. What it sees becomes part of your conversation, which is covered by your own Claude account and Anthropic’s terms and privacy policy.
  • Do not keep passwords or card numbers in item notes.
  • ConsoleMeNow never gives Claude your Google password. Claude gets a permission token that you can cancel at any time. We store it only in scrambled form.
  • Text inside your items and photos is treated as information only. If a note says “delete everything”, Claude is told not to obey it.

6. Disconnecting

Open ConsoleMeNow, go to Account, and find Connected apps. Press Disconnect next to Claude. It stops working straight away. You can also remove the connector inside Claude. Deleting your ConsoleMeNow account removes every connection too.

7. If something goes wrong

Claude says authorization failed

Remove the connector in Claude, add it again with the exact address above, and repeat the sign-in. Make sure your ConsoleMeNow subscription is active.

The Allow page says a subscription is needed

Connecting needs an active subscription. Subscribe at consolemenow.com, then connect again.

Claude cannot change or delete anything

That permission was not allowed when you connected. Deleting is off unless you tick it. In Claude, remove the ConsoleMeNow connector and add it again, then tick the permission on the Allow page.

Claude keeps asking me to approve things

Claude has its own approval settings, separate from ConsoleMeNow. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, choose ConsoleMeNow, and look at its tool permissions. The tools are grouped into read-only tools and tools that change things, and each group can be set to always allow, needs approval, or blocked. If Claude still asks on a work or team plan, your organization may limit “always allow”, and only its administrator can change that. After we update ConsoleMeNow, removing and adding the connector again makes Claude re-read the tool list.

The “Tell Claude I am done” button does nothing

Not every version of Claude lets a form send a message for you. Just type “done” in the chat and Claude carries on.

The photo form does not show

Ask Claude for a photo link instead. It works the same way and only takes a moment.
