ConsoleMeNow is an inventory tracker for your home or business. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Questions? Email consolemenow@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Sign-in details. When you continue with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We do not receive your Google password and we cannot see your other Google data.
- Your inventory. Everything you enter: item names, locations, costs, serial numbers, notes, tags and custom fields. Because you decide what to type, please do not store passwords or other secrets in item notes.
- Billing status. Whether your subscription is active and when it renews. Your card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach our servers.
- Internal notes. Short notes we may write about an account, for example why it has complimentary access or a different item limit. They are deleted with the account.
- Technical data. Standard server logs from our hosting provider, such as IP address and request times, used to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
Only to run the service: to sign you in, show your inventory back to you, bill your subscription, answer support emails and keep the site secure. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising and we do not share your inventory with anyone.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare hosts the website and stores your data in its database.
- Stripe takes payments and manages subscriptions.
- Google provides the sign-in.
Each of these companies has its own privacy policy and handles data under its own terms.
Cookies and local storage
We use one cookie, a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in for up to 30 days. It is strictly necessary, so there is no cookie banner. Your browser also stores your light or dark mode choice and your sort preferences on your own device. We use no advertising or analytics trackers.
Your choices
- Download your data from the Account page, as CSV or JSON, while your subscription is active.
- Delete your account from the Account page. This cancels your subscription and immediately erases your profile, sign-in sessions and every item from our database.
- Email us to ask for a copy of your data, or to have your account deleted sooner than the schedule below, including after your subscription has ended. We will respond as soon as we can.
Retention
We keep your data while you are subscribed.
If your subscription ends, or a payment fails and is not fixed, you lose access to the app, but your saved items stay in your account for five months so you can pick up where you left off by subscribing again. If you have not subscribed again five months after your access ended, your account, all your items and your sign-in details are permanently deleted from our database. This happens automatically, and subscribing again before then cancels the deletion.
We do not currently send a reminder before deleting, and once your subscription has ended you cannot use the app to download your data. If you want a copy, export it from the Account page while you are subscribed, or email us and we will send you one.
Accounts that signed in but never subscribed hold only the name, email address and profile picture from Google. We keep those until you ask us to delete them.
When you delete your account yourself it is removed from our database straight away. Copies may remain for a short time in our database provider’s recovery history. Stripe may keep payment records for as long as the law requires it to.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Each account can only reach its own items. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you.
Children
ConsoleMeNow is not meant for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will update the date above and, for significant changes, email account holders.
