Terms of service

These terms apply when you use ConsoleMeNow. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

ConsoleMeNow lets you record and organise items you own, at home or in a business, and shows you sorted views and summaries of them. It is a record-keeping tool. Its figures are only as accurate as what you enter, and it is not financial, tax, legal or insurance advice.

Your account

You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your Google sign-in secure. One account is for one person or business.

ConsoleMeNow is built for individuals and small businesses using a single sign-in. If you want to use it across a large business, or with a team of several people, please email consolemenow@gmail.com before you subscribe so we can agree what suits you. Please do not share one Google sign-in between several people.

Subscription and payment

• ConsoleMeNow costs $10 per month, billed monthly in advance through Stripe. There is one plan and there is no free tier.
• Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from Account, then Manage billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then.
• Payments for a period already started are not refunded unless the law says otherwise. If you think you were charged by mistake, email consolemenow@gmail.com and we will look into it.
• We may change the price. We will give you notice by email before a change applies to your next payment, and you can cancel before then.
• We may give some accounts complimentary access or a different item limit. Complimentary access ends on the date we set, after which the normal subscription applies. Where we have not agreed otherwise, these arrangements can be changed or ended by telling you.
• If a payment fails, access to your inventory is paused until it is resolved. Your saved items are kept for five months, as described under Your data below.

Your data

Your inventory belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only so that we can run the service for you. While you are subscribed you can export everything and delete your account and all your data from the Account page whenever you like.

If your subscription ends, or a payment fails and is not fixed, your saved items are kept for five months. If you subscribe again within that time you get them back. If you do not, your account and all your items are then permanently deleted, and we do not send a reminder first. Download a copy before your subscription ends if you want one, or email consolemenow@gmail.com to ask for a copy or an earlier deletion. See the privacy policy for details.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, to store content you have no right to store, to attempt to access other people’s accounts or data, to disrupt or overload the service, or to resell access to it. We may suspend accounts that do.

Availability and backups

We work to keep the service running but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. You are encouraged to download an export of your data now and then so you always have your own copy.

Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, lost profits or the outcome of an insurance claim, and our total liability to you for anything connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

Ending things

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may end the service or a particular account with reasonable notice, and will refund any prepaid time we cannot provide.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
